John De Margheriti - Chairman

John De Margheriti has been actively involved in the computer games industry for over 25 years. In later 1985, he co-founded Micro Forté and is the entrepreneur, and visionary behind the company.

John's vision for the Australian games industry is coming to fruition with the growth of the Industry, the establishment of the Academy of Interactive Entertainment's second campus in Melbourne, the growth of the Game Developers Association of Australia and the support received by the Australian Game Developers Conference.


Vicki De Margheriti - Chief Executive Officer
Vicki is a Bachelor of Science First Class Honors Graduate from the University of NSW and is currently completing her MBA at the University of Canberra. She is involved in the development of new business opportunities and coordinating resources for such ventures. Vicki has been involved in; the formulation of company policy and direction; computer game design and development processes and has over 18 years experience in business administration. Vicki is a Director of the Academy of Interactive Entertainment Ltd, Micro Forté Pty Ltd and BigWorld Pty Ltd.

Stephen Harris- Chief Financial Officer
Stephen is our Financial Controller and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Joining in January 2001, Stephen came from Ernst and Young where he was a Senior Manager with the Assurance and Advisory Business division. His experience includes advice to emerging market players on accounting and business matters, due diligence procedures, developing business plans and strategies, litigation accounting services (expert witness), activity based costing, and piloting major government reform processes in Canberra. He also worked for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for 18 months.

Ian Gibson - Head of School, Canberra, AIE Education Division
Ian, a graduate of Aberdeen University, has had a long and successful career in teaching and education management. In particular he has led teams involved in adult education programs, established innovative student extension and support programs and managed a variety of schools education areas. His area of teaching expertise is media and film studies. He has also sustained a career as player and coach in professional sport in both Scotland and Australia.

Since his appointment to AIE in 2000, he has taken a leading role in a number of local and national Games education initiatives. Ian is responsible for all aspects of the Academy's education operations.


David Giles- Head of School, Melbourne, AIE Education Division

David Giles has over nine years experience in the video games industry. David began work at Beam Software, Australia's oldest and largest video games company as a senior producer. Beam was taken over by Infogrames/ATARI in 1999 and David continued to work as one of the Studio Managers and Director of Development until the middle of 2003. David has also worked as a university lecturer and continues to have close ties with tertiary institutions.


Pon Chaleune - Event Manager, Australian Game Developers Conference
Pon is a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism graduate from the University of Canberra and brings to this role over seven years experience in the meetings industry. During this time she has coordinated a number of national and international conferences, functions and events. Pon is also a board member of the Meetings Industry of Australia (MIAA) ACT Branch and tutors the Convention and Festival Management course at the University of Canberra. She joined the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) in April 2002 and is responsible for ensuring that the Australian Game Developers Conference and other AIE events are a resounding success.

Rachel Ozerskis - CTP Management Team
Rachel is responsible for all CTP sales and marketing. She is the first point of contact for all tenant requirements and is dedicated to ensuring that tenant’s needs are met. She is responsible for maintaining good communication between CTP tenants and the CTP management team, organising loose networking events for CTP tenants as well as the day-to-day operational management of CTP.

Tim Scorgie- CTP Management Team
Tim is responsible for maintenance aspects of the CTP building, car park and gardens. He is available to undertake contract work and can be hired through CTP building Services.
